hope everyone’s been having a great holiday season, sorry i’m a little behind in the wishes and updates! a really amazing new project has been keeping us pretty crazed over here, but crazed in a great way!
i love working with sweet and wonderful clients, and my latest are pretty awesome, gary oldman and his wife alex! besides being a complete joy to work with, they also have amazing taste- they’re edgy, cool and chic – which makes it so much fun! we’re glamming up their beautiful, european inspired home up by adding a touch of new york sophistication and mixing it in with a new london vibe.
i’m so excited about the evolution of this project and can’t wait to post pics when complete!
in the meantime, here are a few of the fab pieces we’ve already bought from various sources like ebay, 1st dibs and antique/ vintage shops. keep in mind, some of these pieces have yet to be refurbished!

last year we started working on a gorgeous spanish colonial revival in the flats of beverly hills. the architecture and details of the house were so stunning, i was immediately overwhelmed by its beauty. we decided to mirror the lines of the home by keeping the interiors simple and clean with touches of interesting textiles woven throughout. its rare that i leave walls white, but in this case it was the only way to go! to see more photos, check out ‘casa colonial’ under recent projects!

just started working with a new client, enrique murciano, on a quickie makeover for his new home – lots of work and fun! the house is a mid century in the hills with an open layout, amazing views and splashes of color everywhere! these vibrant touches were added by the previous owner, but we’re embracing the look and adding our own pops of color in unexpected places-pics to come! this project is definitely unlike any ive worked on to date, so im really excited by the opportunity to flex my design muscles!

we recently wrapped up a project for one of our client’s and friend’s, a well known celeb hair stylist, in the beverly center area. when he bought this 1920’s spanish, about a year ago, the place was in quite a state of disrepair!
we updated the bathrooms, that was a necessity, but maintained as much of its original charm as was possible. we kept the brick fireplace wall, the vintage hardwood floors, the quaint built in’s, and refurbished as needed.
the client’s initial inspiration was drawn from the parker palm springs, but he also wanted his home to reflect his globe trotting lifestyle. by incorporating articles and influences from his world travels, as well as mixing in several craigslist, ebay and thrift shop finds, we created a warm, eclectic and modern space that he now calls home.
check out some scouting shots below, professional pics coming soon!

a few months ago an awesome new client came to us, kaitlin olson, a super cool and hilarious actress from shows like always sunny in philadelphia, among others. she was looking to turn a great room into a vintage style game room, so much fun! of the many things i love about kaitlin, what i love most is her appreciation for unusual vintage finds and thinking outside the box.
we’ve already outfitted the space with a black lacquered pool table (with a silvery grey felt, so much cooler than green!), tufted leather sofa, a retro free standing bar and a turn of the century, victorian style, upright steinway piano. we’ve recently added an antique dress form, century old magic lantern, collections of apothecary jars and some interesting art- we bought a group of 60 year old shooting targets and had them framed, looks fab! can’t wait to collect a few more unusual pieces to finish off the space, its already looking great!

so for the past 3 weeks, we’ve been doing a fun, mini home makeover. one my very first clients, and dearest friends, molly sims, was looking to freshen up her hollywood home. we opted for a moody color palette, some great linen bedding and crisp drapes to give the space a new look!
here are some pics of the process. it all turned out really well! stay tuned for the ‘afters’… coming soon!
