MTH Woodworks is to thank for these beautiful pieces!  Design duo Michael Host and Tanja Hinder from Vancouver combine salvaged tree stumps and branches with organic resin, creating truly one-of-a-kind furniture pieces. MTH Woodworks’ mission is, “to connect people with BC’s beautiful surroundings by fusing together raw natural elements with organic resin.”

I love that each piece is unique and have their own beautiful characteristics. What a bummer that currently there are no LA distributor but hopefully there will be soon – my fingers are crossed!!

Say hello to my new favorite chair! Or should I say cradle?  Designer Richard Clarkson in collaboration with Grace Emmanual, Brodie Campbell, Jeremy Broker, Eamon Moore, Kahlivia Russell and Joya Boerrigter have created this wonderful cradle for adults.

According to the project developers, “Cradle is about creating a safe, comfortable and relaxing environment in which the user can dissipate the over-stimulation of their senses. The design was heavily directed by a synthesis of research into Autism and children with Rhythmic Movement Disorder (RMD), as well as saftey, sustainability, function and aesthetics.”

This Cradle screams maximum relaxation!

Designer, Natalie Kruch, took an ordinary solid wood stool and with a little color, creativity, and 500 balloons later transformed it into an extraordinary piece of art!

I fell in love with this room design by Marie Claire with such fun colors, textures, and fabrics….but really my favorite part is her creative use of a camping cot as a coffee table!!

What an ingenious idea – a carpet for your bathroom made out of moss!  Creator Nguyen La Chanh proclaims, “The idea was to find a new way of having your plants inside. Not only plants in pots quietly standing in the corner of a living room but alive plants, evolving in the house.”

Made of decay-free foam called plastazote and 70 pieces of ball, forest, and island moss this lush green lawn flourishes from bathroom humidity and drops flowing from the body.  It’s a great balance between low maintenance and environmentally friendly.

Certainly there’s nothing better than bringing nature indoors and having the feeling of fresh moss under your toes

I fell in love with the Marinetime collection by Mati Karmin which adds a great twist to interior design.  His uniquely green approach in recycling old metal mine cases to create beautiful furniture and accessories blow my mind!!

When Russia pulled out of Estonia in the 1990s, they left behind a junk yard of military bomb shells.  Mati Karmin, a sculptor and industrial designer, gathered these shells crafting such pieces as carriages for children, suspended porch swings, master beds, lounge chairs, fireplaces, and even bath tubs.

My favorite has to be the desk and chair duo!
